Exporting your transaction history from the Bybit exchange
If you use Bybit and you need to export your transaction history so your Cryptoimpuestos specialist can work out your crypto tax, this guide is for you. It walks through every file you need to download, step by step.
Why you need your Bybit history
Bybit is based in Dubai (UAE). For Spanish tax purposes it counts as a foreign exchange.
If you hold more than €50,000 on foreign exchanges, you have to file Modelo 721.
To work out the capital gains and losses on your tax return you need:
- the date of every purchase and sale
- the amount of crypto
- the price at the time of the transaction
- the fees paid
Which files you need
For a complete tax return you will need to export the following files from Bybit:
- Account Change Details — for every account
- UTA Transaction Log — usually only needed for earlier years
Note: import the Account Change Details files first. You only need the UTA Transaction Log if something is still missing after that first import.
Step 1: open Data Export
- Sign in at bybit.com with your credentials
- Click your profile icon in the top right-hand corner
- Choose “Account”

- In the left-hand panel, click “Data Export”

Shortcut: you can also go straight to bybit.com/user/assets/exportStatment
Step 2: export the Account Change Details
This is the main export and the most important one. It holds every movement on your account.
- Go to the “Transaction Log” tab
- Under Account, select your main account and every subaccount you have
- Under Type, select every subtype within “Account Change Details” (Spot, Funding, Unified Trading, Copy Trading and so on)
- Under Time (UTC), choose “Customize” and set a range of one full year (for example 2025-01-01 to 2025-12-31)
- Click “Export Now”

- Wait for the export to be generated (it can take one to three days)
- Download the ZIP file from the bottom of the page
- Unzip it — it holds several CSV files, and you need to import all of them
- Repeat the process for every year you traded on Bybit
Important: the maximum export period is 12 months and you are limited to 50 exports per month.
Step 3: export the UTA Transaction Log
These files are usually only needed for earlier years. Import them after the Account Change Details, and only if something is missing.
- Go straight to bybit.com/trade/usdc/assets/unifiedtranslog
- Click the “Export” button
- Under “Select range”, choose “Customize” and set a range of six months (for example 2024-01-01 to 2024-06-30)
- Wait for the export to finish and download it
- Repeat for each period — you will need two files per year because of the six-month limit
Note: the maximum range for this export is six months, so you will need two exports for every year.
Subaccounts
The sensible approach is to export the data for the main account and subaccounts together, by selecting them all in the “Account” field when you export.
If you would rather handle the subaccounts separately, you will have to add the internal transfers between accounts by hand.
Data that may be missing
If the exported files do not cover your whole history, you may need to export additional files:
- Earn history — for yield product transactions before 1 March 2023
- Spot trades — any that were left out of the consolidated files
- Transactions before 1 January 2020 — not available in the standard export
If you cannot export your entire history from the website, contact Bybit support and ask for the remaining data.
Limits worth knowing
| Limit | Detail |
|---|---|
| Maximum Account Change Details range | 12 months per export |
| Maximum UTA Transaction Log range | 6 months per export |
| Monthly exports | 50 at most per month |
| Generation time | One to three days |
| History before 2020 | Requires contacting Bybit support |
| Earn before March 2023 | Requires a separate export |
Summary
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Go to bybit.com > Profile > Account > Data Export |
| 2 | Export the Account Change Details with every subtype, one year at a time, for every account |
| 3 | Repeat for each year you traded |
| 4 | If anything is missing, export the UTA Transaction Log (six months per file) |
| 5 | Unzip the ZIP files and send us every CSV unmodified |
