How to download your Binance history (step-by-step guide 2026)

To declare your crypto you need your complete transaction history. On Binance you can export it as a CSV in under five minutes. Here is how.

Why you need your Binance history

To calculate the gains and losses for your return you need:

  • the date of every purchase and sale
  • the quantity of crypto
  • the price in euros
  • the fees paid

Important: Binance Spain is registered with the Bank of Spain (tax ID B01929306). That means it is not a foreign exchange and does not trigger Modelo 721. You only need the history for income tax.

Step 1: sign in and open your Transaction History

Use the web version of Binance — it is more capable than the app for reporting.

  1. Go to binance.com and log in
  2. At the top right, click the wallet icon
  3. Choose “Transaction History”

Step 2: open the export menu

  1. On the Transaction History page, find the document download icon at the top right
  2. Click it to open the dropdown

Step 3: export the transaction records

In the dropdown that opens, choose “Export Transaction Records”.

Step 4: set the date range

A configuration pop-up will open:

  1. Choose a custom date range
  2. Set the dates to cover your entire trading history (from the day you started until today)
  3. Confirm the export

Step 5: download and send

  1. Wait for Binance to process the request
  2. The file comes in CSV format
  3. Do not modify it — send it to Cryptoimpuestos exactly as it is

Step 6: API connection (required, on top of the CSV)

Important: we need both: the CSV from the previous steps and the API connection. They are not alternatives, they complement each other. The CSV gives us the full history; the API lets us verify balances in real time.

Create a read-only API key by following these steps.

Step 1: open the account menu

  1. Log in at binance.com
  2. In the top menu, click “Profile”

Step 2: choose Account

In the dropdown menu, select “Account”.

Step 3: go to API Management

In the new window, find and click “API Management”.

Step 4: create a new API key

Click the “Create API” button.

Step 5: choose “System generated”

Pick the “System generated” option so that Binance creates the keys for you.

Step 6: name your key

Give it a descriptive name so you can find it later, for example “Cryptoimpuestos” or “Tax report”.

Step 7: set READ-ONLY permissions

VERY IMPORTANT: enable “Read only” and nothing else. Do NOT enable trading or withdrawal permissions.

  1. Tick only the read option
  2. Save the API Key and the Secret Key
  3. We need both in order to read your movements and produce the report

Security: with read-only permissions nobody can move your funds. All we can do is read your transaction history to produce your tax report.

Staking, Earn and Binance Convert

If you use Binance Convert or hold Earn (Staking) rewards, those records sometimes need a separate export from their own sections:

  • Earn: go to Wallet > Earn > History
  • Convert: go to Trade > Convert > History

Every staking reward is a taxable event. They are taxed as investment income at the moment you receive them.

What is inside the CSV file

The Binance file includes these main columns:

ColumnDescription
UTC_TimeDate and time (UTC)
AccountAccount type (Spot, Futures, etc.)
OperationTransaction type
CoinCryptocurrency
ChangeAmount (positive = in, negative = out)
RemarkAdditional notes

Common problems

The file is empty

  • Check that the dates are right
  • Make sure you selected the full range of your trading history

Earn/Staking transactions are missing

  • Export the Earn history separately
  • Binance sometimes keeps these out of the general report

The file does not open properly in Excel

  • The CSV uses a comma as its separator
  • In a Spanish Excel: Data > Get Data > From CSV file
  • Select “comma” as the delimiter

Futures transactions do not appear

  • Futures live in an account separate from Spot
  • You may need to export them separately

Frequently asked questions

How far back can I export?

Binance lets you export your entire trading history. Choose the custom range from the day you started trading up to today.

Does the file include prices in euros?

Not directly. It includes the quantities, but the euro price at the time of each transaction has to be calculated, or taken from tax software.

Is Binance a foreign exchange for Modelo 721?

No. Binance Spain, the entity serving Spanish users, is registered with the Bank of Spain under tax ID B01929306. You do not have to include it in Modelo 721.

Do I need to export Earn separately?

Sometimes. If your staking rewards do not appear in the general report, export the Earn history from its own section.

Can I export as a PDF?

No. Binance only offers CSV or Excel. CSV is the more useful format for later processing.
